So yeah, their is a photo of myself and a photo of my second photographer Julian at this wedding. What can I say, the bridesmaids loved us… Heather “MF’n” Schultz was the maid of honor at this wedding. If you know her, you know what kind of party this was. If you don’t know her trust me when I say she brings the party. Oh yeah, Eamigh and Michael were also really cool. Hahahaha, I kid. An incredible bunch of friends with great stories to tell and two families that you can tell, just love their children so much. Congrats you two, Julian and I had a blast.
Literally the sweetest first look ever… James said, “have you seen yourself!” It was a small, intimate wedding with lots of photos of the bride and groom. I love when clients want to get around and explore, and thats what Jayne and James did. It was an incredible day, with an incredible ceremony, great toasts and lots of laughs. Shout to Julian who shot with me!
Some of the sweetest people I have ever met. It was an honor to capture their day and be amongst so many great friends and a caring family. Thank you Ashley + Seth for having me be there. Here are a bunch of photos…
Even though it is my career, photography is also my hobby. I make images very single day of my life. I am overwhelmed by it. Not just looking at old tim cameras on EBAY late at night or trying new iPhone apps, but envisioning photos I have in my head that I want to, no, that I NEED to make. Here is a bunch of recent images…
A friend of mine, Jim Fisher, who tests cameras for PC Magazine, (how’s that for an amazing job?) let me borrow his Petzval lens for awhile. An all brass lens, manual focus, where you change you aperture by removing and replacing disc shaped as circles, tear drops, stars and other geometric shapes, it is not an all around lens, a specialty lens if you will. The out of focus areas are incredible and change depending on what aperture disc you use.
It is pretty awesome and very sharp, where it is sharp. Not sure I’ll pick one up, they are pricey, but it would look so cool with a groom or a bride smack dab in the middle of the frame!
These two live in Texas and had a destination wedding in Pennsylvania. There was a lot of teasing from their guests about the temps in the Caribbean and the Ice and Snow in PA. But there was some snow, and that is what Desirae had hoped for. It was a beauty of a day with a fun bunch of friends and family… Also, DO THE STANKY LEGG!
I photographed Jen and Zoltan’s engagement photos in Brooklyn and their wedding at Skytop Lodge in Pennsylvania. Last year Reka was born and I went out to Lititz PA to meet them and do some photos and this year it was kind of a last hurrah for PA. They are moving to Albany soon and wanted one last session out in this beautiful little town. It sure was beautiful.
Did the old drive, get out, shoot photos, get in, drive, get out, shoot photos, get in… you get it. Had great light and great smiles with these two. Looking forward to their wedding.
It rained a little on my way to Jersey City, and the fog and haze over Newark was making me a little unhappy. But when I arrived at Jayne and James’s apartment the sun came out a little and the light was perfect. Can’t wait for these two’s Skytop wedding!
Milda is from Lithuania, and it is a tradition there that the groom carry his bride across a bridge on the wedding day.
“It symbolizes their connection and togetherness.”
That’s what I found on the inter webs, but Milda’s MOH says it has to do with, “no matter how hard it was carrying her across the bridge, in life/marriage, things will be harder.” Everyone laughed out loud at hearing this while on our way to Grey Towers in Milford.
