It was hot, sweltering really, the rain didn’t make it better, the humidity just became more intense. But nobody cared. The look these two gave each other the whole time they were together was well, enviable…and everyone saw it. It rained during the ceremony and nobody budged. How could you?
Stephanie + Erik had my long time friend Sara create the flowers for their day and you will see, she killed it. The party rocked, the guests were just as much in love, with each other, with the couple, with the night. I was thankful to be a part of the whole day.
Alicia + Nick had the sun shine for a few minutes, then it rained, then it stopped.
The laughs stayed throughout the day though, as did the obvious love these two have for each other. Congrats again to Alicia + Nick, and their families.
First off, don’t tag The Reeds because Megan snuck in Libby. Who happens the best behaved dog I have ever met… I don’t have a second thing… These two had a perfect day on the beach followed by a wild party that was to much fun to capture. Always thankful for clients who just let me do my thing and trust my vision. Shout out to my guy Garry for second shooting with me and to the great Eddie Aghahowa of Stix Video, always a pleasure to work with you!
…out of nowhere the power goes out…
True story. Luckily for battery powered lighting that didnt stop the hair and makeup ladies. Then power came back on and the rest of the day was a big party. Yes that is a group photo of me with the bride and three other women. I photographed all of their weddings and was so thrilled to take a selfie with them. Awesome, awesome clients…
Sarah + Brendan had a container of notes that they had written on for a year.
Little notes with funny quips and reasons they loved each other and what they liked about each other. They read a bunch on their wedding day just before walking down the aisle. It was insanely cute and I felt lucky to be able to photograph and watch this moment between them.
Check out their photos below including one of my favorite ring photos ever.
I think, I am not sure, everyone at this wedding was family.
It was a huge Turkish Wedding with traditions that started with the grooms family handing envelopes full of money to the brides family, dancing in the parking lot, a ceremony with close family, then more dancing, then just to top it off, more dancing. Shoutout to Callie for the second camera work on this day and to Oz, the good looking bearded gentleman in alot of these photos dancing and throwing money, who upon meeting each other, became a friend instantly!
Who gets married in March outdoors? Cool people. Pun intended.
Bari + Tom had such an amazing day for a winter wedding. I love winter weddings personally but this one felt more like spring, with temps in the 60’s, a crazy bridal party, and extremely happy parents, this was a big day. There was some fun had at a little Photo Booth as well, maned by the one and only Julian. Check it all out below.
Full disclosure, I’ve known Jess’s dad since 2001 when I met him at the NJ Herald. It took a few months but we bonded over music. I think he was surprised at my diversity, being such a young punk… Well, fast forward 14 years, I get a call from his daughter, who I had never known, that she needs photos and we became instant friends. I need to thank these two… last summer when I did their engagement photos they gave me great life advice. Thank you Jess and Dane…
…and yes, Kelly and I drove the bride to the ceremony because the limo never showed. Go Team!
So… Hi, I’m back… I fell way behind on blogging as my life had taken some major changes last year. I’m diggin back and starting with my boy Janos and his beautiful wife Lisa, aka Mrs. Grilled Cheese (ask him). There was a sweet intimate ceremony that was live streamed to family across the Atlantic that couldn’t make it. Then the married couple WALKED to their reception hall! It was so cool and probably a first for New Brunswick. People beeped their horns, hollered congrats, and everybody slowed down. Then the food truck was a sweet treat and surprise for the groom and a delight for everyone, (including me). These two are the cream of the crop, a very belated Congrats!
I first met Crystal many many years ago at Station Park in Sparta, she was petting a puppy and I worked for the NJ Herald and took her photo. Our friendship became bigger shortly after, then we sorta lost touch as happens. When she called me to shoot her wedding this past October I was so thrilled an honored. Little did I know that it was a wedding that would change me personally. There was so much happiness and joy that morning I realized I was not broken. There’s way more to it and too much to put here and probably not appropriate for this type of celebratory post either, just know that it was an incredibly moving ceremony, performed by her brother, and there was barely a dry eye in the crowd of friends and family that were behind them. Run on sentences? Anyway…
Love this family so much, I hope to see them again.
